Board of Directors

Kevin Alker

Vice President

Kevin Alker is a native of New Orleans, a seasoned Sales professional, and has spent more than 25 years building business and servicing customers.  He started his Sales career with Garrity Printing where he also achieved a vice president position.  He continued his Sales initiatives with Harvey Press and later became president of Harvey-Hauser Press.  His leadership skills were essential when Harvey-Hauser merged with Garrity Printing in 2010 to create the new Garrity Solutions.

Alker studied geology at Louisiana State University, marketing at the University of New Orleans, and is an Army veteran who served in the 101st Airborne Division.

Among his many accomplishments,  Alker was named Service Supplier of the year by the New Orleans Advertising Club in 2002.  He is also a member of the Greater New Orleans Executive Association, whose members serve their customers with high-quality goods and services at a reasonable cost in a variety of industries in the New Orleans region. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors for The United Way of South Louisiana and a member of the Sean Payton Play It Forward Foundation.

Paul Alker

Paul Alker is a New Orleans native and has spent more than 40 years in the commercial printing industry.  He has worn many hats including, Sales, financial, management, and ownership positions.

Prior to Katrina he was vice-president of Sales and managing partner at Harvey Press.  In addition he was the vice-president of Sales at Walle Corporation, president of GSI, worked in Sales at Calvert Litho of Detroit and Mardon International of the United Kingdom, was vice-president of Sales with Dixie Forms (later Dixie Web), and president of Graphic Sales Louisiana.  He is also managing partner of a real estate investment company.  In each stage of his career, Alker has focused on providing high-quality, high touch service to customers.

Alker studied at USL, UNO, and Tulane University.  A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Vietnam conflict.  He was a volunteer coach in Jefferson Parish for 20 years, a volunteer in various capacities with United Way for 15 years, and a volunteer with Habit for Humanity.

Calissa Bart

Director of Administration

Ms. Bart brings more than 35 years of customer service experience that began as an employee in the commercial billing department of the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.  She then served as a contract specialist/customer service representative for Pitney Bowes for ten years.

She began working in the printing industry at Harvey Press, now Garrity Solutions, in 1990.  With more than 25 years of printing experience and expertise, her decisions, suggestions, and perspective will be an asset in maintaining the company’s efficiency and stability.

Brian David

Brian David has deep roots in the New Orleans area printing industry.  His grandfather founded Franklin Printing in the 1920s where he began his career after college. His work during college for Coleman Communications Advertising gave him the opportunity to learn Graphic Design and photography.  These skills enabled him to learn the business from all angles.  He moved to Harvey Press and worked in Sales for 15 years before partnering with Kevin Alker to purchase Hauser Printing in 2006.  This successful partnership led to the purchase of Garrity Printing in 2010 to form the new Garrity Solutions.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of New Orleans and graduated from  De La Salle High School.  His involvement with the Mid-Winter Sports Association, which stages the annual Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, allows him to strengthen community relationships on a continual basis.  His interests also include regatta sailing events, swimming, lacrosse, track and field, volleyball, and other sports.

Amy Kernion

Director of Database Management & Postal Operations

Ms. Kernion joined the company in 2007 and is responsible for all database management systems and postal operations.  She brings a wealth of business administrative knowledge, database system management and strategy, and USPS operations.  She will play a key role in the decision-making process and growth of the company moving forward.

Before joining the Garrity Solutions Team, Ms. Kernion was one of the principals at Brennan’s Printing and Direct Mail for more than ten years. She received her undergraduate degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University in 1995 and earned her MBA from the University of New Orleans in 2000.
